Split the order into product families
Fans, controls, copper components, grilles, insulation accessories, packaged assemblies, motors, and sensors may require different classification, documentation, handling, and conformity review. Create one line-level product dictionary that remains consistent across purchase order, invoice, packing list, broker instructions, and technical file.
Germany import checklist
- Exact product function, materials, model, and technical description
- Weights, dimensions, package count, pallet/crate/carton breakdown
- Applicable product rules, markings, declarations, test evidence, instructions, and language
- CN/TARIC assumption and any restriction or trade measure
- Freight mode, dangerous-goods or battery questions where relevant
- German delivery appointment, unloading, access, and site/warehouse contact
Allocate cost correctly
A mixed shipment should not automatically allocate every charge by invoice value. Heavy or bulky components may drive freight; regulated or fragile items may drive handling and compliance effort. Preserve both the total shipment result and a reasonable allocation method for unit economics.

Primary sources
Official sources used to frame the guidance. Check the current product and transaction before acting.
Compare your real specification and destination
Use a transparent cost model, or request a source-backed supplier and route comparison for one construction product.
